Your Guide to Drone Inspections with ML Facade Inspection
At ML Facade Inspection, we revolutionize building inspections using cutting-edge drone technology. This FAQ provides specific details about our drone inspection services, highlighting our expertise and the advanced tools we use. For more information, visit our dedicated page: ML Facade Inspection – Drone Inspection.
- Why use drones for inspections? Drones provide a safer, more cost-effective, and time-efficient way to inspect hard-to-reach or hazardous areas with high precision. They capture critical data, eliminating risks associated with traditional methods like scaffolding or rope access, making inspections faster, safer, and more cost-effective.
- Is ML Façade Inspection certified for drone inspections? Yes! Our UAV pilots and operator’s permit are certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) (Permit No. 231). You can verify our permit on the CAAS website. As certified engineers and infrared thermographers, we use cutting-edge drone technology for fast, accurate visual and thermal inspections. Our BizSafe Level 3 and WSQ Work-at-Height certifications further ensure safe, compliant operations.
- What qualifications do your drone pilots have? We specialize in façade inspections, with licensed pilots who are highly experienced and hold key qualifications:
- IES-certified Façade Inspectors (Level 2)
- IIRT-certified Infrared Thermographers (Level 2)
- What drone models do you use? We operate industry-leading drones for high-quality results and advanced capabilities:
- DJI Matrice 300 RTK
- DJI M30T
- What safety features do your drones have? Our drones are equipped with robust safety features for reliability and secure operations:
- Redundant systems for enhanced reliability
- Six-directional obstacle avoidance for safer navigation
- Three-propeller emergency landing capability
- AirSense system for real-time air traffic awareness
- Advanced dual control mode for enhanced safety and precision
- Can drone inspections be performed anywhere? Drone operations are subject to strict airspace regulations in Singapore. Restricted areas typically include:
- Within 5 km of aerodromes (airports)
- Danger, prohibited, and temporary restricted zones
- NParks nature reserves, parks, and gardens where drone flying is prohibited
- Protected areas under the Air Navigation Act
We handle all necessary permit applications with CAAS to ensure compliance, and the activity permit for drone flight is subject to CAAS’s approval.
- How long does a typical drone inspection take, and when will I receive the report? The duration of a drone inspection depends on the size and complexity of your building. However, drones significantly reduce inspection time compared to traditional methods. After the inspection, our team diligently processes and analyzes the collected data. We strive to deliver your detailed report with key findings, thermal imaging (if applicable), and expert recommendations as quickly as possible, ensuring timely insights for your decision-making.
- What kind of report and data will I receive? You will receive a comprehensive report that includes high-resolution images and videos captured by the drone, along with any thermal imaging data (if applicable). Our qualified engineers then provide expert analysis of this data, offering actionable insights for maintenance and repair decisions. This report provides a complete 360-degree insight into your building’s condition.
- How do I get a quotation for a drone inspection? To get a quotation, simply fill out an online questionnaire on our website specifying your project requirements. Our team will follow up within two working days to discuss the scope of work and provide you with a tailored quotation for our services.
